"Summer Stories", an art exhibit by Kate Ladd and Cindy Bainbridge

"Summer Stories" is a show of paintings by Kate Ladd and Cindy Bainbridge. In the heat of the summer, Kate says that she has more fun painting the flowers in her garden than working under the relentless sun. "I've been painting a series of colorful impressions of the flowers in my garden, as if they were all blooming at once.” Cindy, who makes birdhouses as well as paintings, says, “I make art because I love the process. While I am working I feel connected to something larger than myself.”
